1. How soon can I drive on my sealcoated driveway?

We recommend waiting at least 48 hours after your asphalt driveway service is completed.  Asphalt driveways typically last up to 20 years, depending on the quality of the installation, the severity of the climate, the usage, and how well they are maintained.

2. Can I get asphalt in gray or any color other than black?

Essentially, all asphalt is black. When the aggregates (stone) are mixed with hot asphalt cement, the mass of material becomes black. Over time, as the asphalt oxidizes, the coating on the aggregates breaks down and the color of the aggregate starts to show through. This can lead to a grayish color if the asphalt plant uses a light color aggregate.

3. What are the benefits of paving?

In our experience, the benefits of paving include durability, cost-effectiveness, a smooth surface for pleasant driving, quick installation, and 100% recycled asphalt.

4. How do I know if I need a new asphalt driveway or just repairs?

If your driveway has widespread cracking, potholes, drainage issues, or a failing base, replacement may be necessary. Minor cracks and surface wear can often be repaired and sealcoated.

5. How often should asphalt be sealcoated?

Most asphalt surfaces should be sealcoated every 2–3 years, depending on traffic levels and weather exposure.

6. How long does asphalt paving take?

Most residential driveway projects can be completed in 1–2 days, depending on size and site conditions.
